>Plain Catgut Plain Catgut is a uniform, firmly twisted strand of collagen made of the serosa layer of bovine intestines. The purified strands, after electronic gauging and polishing, form a virtual monofilament with exceptional handing properties. It is indicated for use in general soft issue approximation and/or ligation, including use in ophthalmic surgery.

>Chromic Catgut Chromic Catgut has been treated to provide a considerably longer period of absorption than Plain Catgut. The rate of absorption is lowed down by chromic process. It is well beyond critical postoperative period and twice the stitch holding time of Plain Catgut. It is indicated for use in general soft issue approximation and gastrointestinal surgery.

>Monofilament Nylon Monofilament Nylon sutures are inert, nonabsorbable, sterile sutures composed of the long-chain aliphatic polymers Nylon 6 and Nylon 6.6. They elicit a minimal acute inflammatory reaction in tissue, which is followed by gradual encapsulation of the suture by fibrous connective issue. They are indicated for use in general soft issue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neurological surgery.

>Plain Catgut Braided Nylon sutures are inert, nonabsorbable, sterile sutures composed of the long-chain aliphatic polymers Nylon 6 and Nylon 6.6. They are coated uniformly with silicone to enhance handing characteristics, ease of passage through tissue and reduction of capillarity. They have some benefits as below, a tight braid with a uniform diameter, maximum flexibility of the strand and excellent and consistent knotting strength.

>Polypropylene The sutures (clear or pigmented) are inert, nonabsorbable, sterile sutures composed of a crystalline stereoisomer of polypropylene. The sutures are pigmented blue to enhance visibility. The sutures are indicated for use in general soft issue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neurological surgery.

>Polyester Polyester sutures are nonabsorbable, sterile, surgical sutures composed of polyethylene. The sutures are available uncoated or coated uniformly with silicone to increase surface lubricity, thereby enhancing handling characteristics, ease of passage through tissue, and knot run-down properties. The sutures are indicated for use in general soft issue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neurological surgery.

>Silk The sutures are nonabsorbable, sterile, non-mutagenic surgical sutures composed of natural silk fibers called fibroin. The sutures elicit a minimal acute inflammatory reaction in tissue, which is followed by gradual encapsulation of the suture by fibrous connective issue. The sutures are indicated for use in general soft issue approximation, including use in cardiovascular, microsurgery and neurological surgery.

>Wire The sutures (clear or pigmented) are inert, nonabsorbable, sterile sutures composed of a crystalline stereoisomer of polypropylene. The sutures are pigmented blue to enhance visibility. The sutures are indicated for use in general soft issue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neurological surgery.

>Twisted silk The sutures are nonabsorbable, sterile, non-mutagenic surgical sutures composed of natural silk fibers called fibroin. The sutures are gamma-ray sterilized. The sutures are indicated for use in general soft issue approximation, and anastomosis surgery.
